Day 73: Hehe

Sometimes I go into a song analysis already with a joke I want to make in mind. It takes a backseat to the rest of the post and sometimes is cut completely, but the opposite happened today. See, I thought of something while listening to her song A Place In This World from her self-titled 2006 album that made me laugh and wanted to share it. It's the very first thing you hear when you turn on the song.

But before we listen, imagine you're going out to eat some dinner. You sit down at your table, wait a minute or so, and get handed a menu. You glance at the entrees while making idle chitchat for a couple minutes, then the server arrives. You expect to get a glass of water and maybe order some drinks, but they ask what you'll be eating for dinner. So you respond just as Taylor Swift did, in the only way that makes sense.

"I don't know what I want, so don't ask me
'Cause I'm still trying to figure it out"

Excellent. Unfortunately this song is pretty unremarkable otherwise so I have basically nothing else to say about it. Instead of trying to think of something else to stretch it out, I'll just end the post here with a picture of a dog. Merry dogsmas.
