Now on to the review. I'm starting to go a little out of my mind at this point. The scale of this project seems to be completely beyond my mind's ability understand, I'm less than 20% of the way through but the time when I listened to things other than Taylor Swift seems like a world away. I'm also in that awkward place where the initial excitement of the project has faded, but I haven't quite gotten into the habit of only listening to only Taylor yet. This has resulted in me almost slipping a couple times, like clicking on the link to a new podcast that seemed interesting without thinking, or remembering a song that I really like and searching for it. Luckily I have been able to stop myself every time so far, but at this rate it's only a matter of time.
I'm still enjoying myself for sure, and I haven't had to seriously resist the urge to listen to something else, it's mostly just forgetting. It's like I'm starting to get mental cabin fever, just with Taylor Swift instead of a boat full of sailors. On second thought, maybe I don't have it all that bad.

It's funny, music in my head has become classified into just two groups: Taylor Swift and not Taylor Swift. The default type, for the record, is Taylor Swift. This has resulted in some pretty weird moments where I hear a song and think to myself "oh! This song isn't by Taylor Swift" as if it's surprising that the whole world hasn't joined in with my dumb ideas yet.
When I first started, it seemed like there was so much music to listen to. I did the math, if you remember, and found that it's possible to listen to all of her studio albums over four times each in a day. I haven't gotten anywhere near that far yet, but I have gotten through all of them in one day.
I think it's worth mentioning that I have been listening to all her songs by album, almost exclusively. When I put on the music I choose an album to listen to and hit play. I may jump around a bit, but for the most part I just let the album run it's course. This has given me a really good idea of each album's style. I think that if I was given a song I hadn't heard before I could tell about when in her career she wrote it to within a couple years. I wouldn't say this is a huge accomplishment, after all Taylor is known for having a constantly changing style. That said, there are many common identifiers and themes that stretch all the way across Taylor's career. The biggest one of these themes is eyes, which Taylor always talks about, from Taylor Swift to Reputation. I'm going to have a whole post about this at some point, maybe even two, but for know just keep it in mind when listening to her music.
Okay, that's going to be all for today. I don't want to bore you with too many details about me, so I'll send you off with a picture that I was going to include in a previous post but got cut. Bonus points if you can figure out where it was supposed to go!
